Review

The tears barely flowed, as well as this episode. It was a nice thing to do - show Riki go against Kyousuke and the others' wishes trying to prove his newfound strength in order to save everyone and as well as showing Rin's resolve to help Riki and not lose what they've given to her as well. There's just one problem - it didn't flow well enough for me to really enjoy it.

We're shown the situation and how it happened, with Masato and Kengo both protecting Rin (Masato doing it with his usual smile only broke my heart). Their nature is to protect and it's what they did. They sacrificed their lives in order to save both Rin and Riki, the "children" of the group. It just goes to show just how good of a bro these two are, along with Kyousuke. The swift tumble off the cliff and the result were shown pretty well. It's when Rin took over the spotlight that the quality really degraded.

Something about the way she went through every character just didn't flow. It was nice to see everyone again, but the way it was executed didn't leave much room for us to really feel what Rin was feeling. One part that did get me was when Komari shed a tear. You could see the tear go down her face with her mouth open. Now, she wasn't my favorite girl, but this moment really had an impact. Reasurring that Riki will be with her, she disappeared after explaining herself. She was the closet friend Rin had aside from Riki. Either way, it was enough to push Rin into saying the "All Right" Komari chant.

With one episode left, how will J.C. proceed to do the ending? Will they take the good or bad route? We'll have to wait until next week's episode to find out. I'm really hoping they do it justice as the VN brought me to tears - much like the Kyousuke goodbye did in the previous episode.
